Cumulus Media’s K105/WQXK-FM in Youngstown, OH, Raises $145,986 for Children’s Cancer Treatment and Research in Annual Two-Day St. Jude Radiothon

K105 Has Held Radiothon to Benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Since 1990, Raising a Total of More Than $4.5 Million

YOUNGSTOWN, OH – March 8, 2023 — Cumulus Media (NASDAQ: CMLS) announces that Cumulus Youngstown Country radio station K105/WQXK-FM raised $145,986 for children’s cancer treatment and research through the station’s annual St. Jude Radiothon on Thursday, March 2nd, and Friday, March 3rd, 2023. K105 Morning personalities Doug and Mary Ann hosted the two-day on-air and online fundraiser, which broadcast live from K105 studios in Youngstown. The Radiothon featured special guests, interviews and more to support the kids of St. Jude.

K105 has held the St. Jude Radiothon since 1990 and has raised a total of more than $4.5 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital since then. K105’s St. Jude Radiothon supports the lifesaving mission of St. Jude that no child should die in the dawn of life.

All funds raised by the Radiothon will go directly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and will support St. Jude patients and families who never receive a bill from St. Jude for the cost of treatment, travel, housing or food. At St. Jude, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion, or a family’s ability to pay. Since St. Jude opened its doors in 1962, the survival rate for childhood cancer has risen from 20% to more than 80% today.

Bill Kelly, Vice President/Market Manager, Cumulus Youngstown, said: “Advancing children’s health is one of the most noble things a person can do. I am so proud that K105 continues to help St Jude’s with that mission.”
