Cumulus Savannah Launches Relief Drive for Bryan County, GA, Residents Affected by Deadly April 4th Tornado

SAVANNAH, GA, April 14, 2022 — Cumulus Media (NASDAQ: CMLS) announces that Cumulus Savannah has launched a relief drive to benefit people in Bryan County, GA, who were impacted by last Tuesday’s deadly tornado. The tornado devastated several neighborhoods, destroyed at least 18 homes, and left around 14,000 residents without power initially. Several public buildings, including the Bryan County Courthouse, Hendrix Park, and the Administrative Building, sustained significant damage from the tornado.

Cumulus Savannah radio stations E93/WEAS-FM, Magic 93.9/WTYB-FM, Kix 96/WJCL-FM, and I-95/WIXV-FM are currently running public service announcements on-air, online and on social media to drive donations of food and cash to first responders and residents whose homes were damaged by the tornado. So far, over $5,000 in relief has been raised, with food and cash donations from community partners Cici’s Pizza, Panera Bread, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Chicken Salad Chick, Krispy Kreme and Horne Law. Chicken Salad Chick has made over 400 sandwiches for first responders and police and today delivered 100 more sandwiches to the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office.

To volunteer for the county clean-up effort at Lanier Primary School, 6024 Hwy. 280 East, Ellabell, GA, and at the City of Pembroke Fire Department, 175 N. College St., Pembroke, GA, or to provide hot meals to first responders and the tireless workers holding up the community during this difficult time, contact Sergeant David Hicks at 912.432.0749.
