New Country 96.3’s 2nd Annual Diaper Drive Collects Over 28,000 Diapers for Cook Children’s at DFW Area Kroger Stores

DALLAS/FORT WORTH, TX – July 1, 2025Cumulus Media’s New Country 96.3 (KSCS-FM) announces that it has partnered with Kroger grocery stores to collect 28,471 diapers for Cook Children’s through the New Country 96.3’s 2nd Annual Diaper Drive.

New Country 96.3 announced the Diaper Drive on Friday, June 13th during the “Hawkeye in the Morning” show and promoted the series of donation events all week. The first event was held on Monday, June 23rd with morning host Hawkeye broadcasting live from a Kroger in Fort Worth, which drove donations of more than 3,000 diapers on the first day. Over the next few days, New Country 96.3 on-air staff picked a city within the metroplex and hosted their own mini-diaper drive. The Diaper Drive culminated at the finale on Friday, June 27th, with the entire New Country 96.3 on-air team broadcasting live from Kroger in Prosper, TX.

Over the course of the week, hundreds of listeners stopped by New Country 96.3’s booth at Kroger stores to not only donate diapers, but to share the stories behind their donations. Kroger played a huge role in the success of the drive, as they set up a display of their store brand diapers by the collection area, with their store brand diapers priced as low as $5 a package.

The diapers raised by the Diaper Drive will be distributed to multiple Cook Children’s departments throughout the hospital for use by patients and their families. In the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Cook Children’s will use over 600 diapers a day in various sizes.
