Cumulus Topeka’s KMAJ-AM Adds FM Translator; Topeka’s Best News/Talk Programming Now Simulcast on a Full Market FM Signal at 93.5 FM

Newly Branded “The Big Talker KMAJ-AM/FM” Expands Reach Through All of Topeka and Shawnee County With FM Simulcast

TOPEKA, KS, December 14, 2021 – Cumulus Media announces that Topeka News/Talk radio station KMAJ-AM has added an FM translator and is now broadcasting on a full market FM signal at 93.5, in addition to its 1440 AM signal. The new FM signal, K228FW, simulcasts 1440 AM programming and significantly expands the station’s reach. The FM signal will cover all of Topeka, as well as all of Shawnee County. The KMAJ-AM/FM simulcast is now live and includes hosts Armstrong & Getty from 8am-11am, Dan Bongino from 11am-2pm, Chris Plante Podcast, Ben Shapiro from 3pm-5pm, Mark Levin from 5pm-8pm, Michael Knowles from 8pm-9pm, and Jim Bohannon from 9pm-Midnight. The Big Talker KMAJ-AM/FM is the home of Kansas University Athletics Football and Basketball Broadcasts and of the Cumulus Topeka High School Sports Network.

The addition of a full-strength FM marks an evolution of the KMAJ brand, to include new branding as The Big Talker KMAJ-AM/FM and a new logo.
