Guidelines
The Warm Hand-Off
To qualify, the referral must be a verified introduction (email, text, or call) where the new partner is expecting a follow-up from a Cumulus representative.
Eligibility
The referred business must not have advertised with Cumulus in the past 13 months.
How the Value is Calculated
All rewards are based on the new partner’s billed revenue for up to the first three months of their campaign.
- For Example: On a campaign spending $1,000/month, the reward is based on $3,000 total.
- 10% Choice: Equals a $300 value (Cash Bonus or Billing Credit)
- 20% Choice: Equals a $600 value (Added airtime for your broadcast schedule)
Reward Issuance & Timing
Referrers
- Rewards are processed once the new partner’s payment requirements are met (paid in full or after the 90-day milestone).
- Cash bonuses are most easily applied as an account credit, though a check can be arranged.
New Partners
- To ensure a strong start, incentives are applied immediately to their schedule or invoices during their first three months.
- Billing credits are strictly for invoice offsets and cannot be redeemed for cash.
Campaign Changes
- Rewards are based on actual revenue collected. If a campaign ends early, rewards are prorated. A minimum of one month of airtime must be completed to qualify.
Broadcast Focus
- Rewards apply to broadcast schedules only; digital-only campaigns are excluded.
Reward Window
- Any extra airtime rewarded must be scheduled within 90 days of issuance.

- You can refer a business to any of our 83 Cumulus markets across the country.
