Buffalo Bills Announce New Flagship Radio Station and Broadcast Team Additions for 2026 Season

Orchard Park, NY — The Buffalo Bills are ushering in a new era of game day radio coverage, announcing a partnership with Cumulus Media that will make 97 Rock WGRF-FM the official flagship station for Bills broadcasts in Buffalo starting with the 2026 season. This marks a return to FM radio and to 97 Rock, which served as the team’s flagship from 1998 to 2011.

The flagship partnership serves as the first announcement for the Buffalo Bills Radio Network, where the Bills will produce and manage all radio broadcasts, including pregame and postgame coverage, delivering expanded analysis and storytelling throughout the season. In addition to 97 Rock, WSKO The Score 1260 will serve as the Syracuse affiliate, with additional stations, including Rochester and Southern Ontario, joining the network to be announced soon.

“As we move into Highmark Stadium, we look forward to bringing Bills games back to 97 Rock and expanding our reach to even more fans across New York, as well as Southern Ontario,” said Pete Guelli, Bills President of Business Operations. “This new partnership ensures Bills fans will enjoy a best-in-class broadcast experience each and every game day.”

The Bills broadcast booth will feature familiar voices. Chris Brown, “Voice of the Bills,” returns for his fourth season as play-by-play announcer, joined by color analyst and former Bills Pro Bowl center Eric Wood for his seventh season.

Bills legend Steve Tasker will join the game day coverage team as the sideline reporter, bringing fans closer to the action with live updates and insight from the field.

“It’s exciting to know that we have a group that is very familiar working on air with one another,” Brown said. “Steve bringing 20 years of network experience to the broadcast is going to be valuable to our product. We’re committed to delivering the best possible broadcast we can for our fans, and I’m confident our team will be able to make good on that.”

Added Wood, “I am excited to play an integral part of the Buffalo Bills Radio Network and our partnership with 97 Rock. Our team takes great pride in broadcasting Bills games for the NFL’s best fans. Working with Chris and Steve heading into a historic inaugural season at Highmark Stadium is a tremendous honor. The season can’t get here fast enough.”

Tasker served as a color commentator and sideline reporter for CBS football telecasts from 1998 to 2018. The five-time first-team All-Pro has continued his broadcasting career as the color analyst for Bills preseason games alongside CBS play-by-play announcer Andrew Catalon.

“I was honored and excited to be asked to join the broadcast team as the sideline reporter,” Tasker said. “It’s a new stadium with a great team to watch. What could be better! Where else would you rather be?”

“This is a proud moment for our company and for Buffalo,” said Beth Coughlin, Cumulus Media Regional Vice President. “After 14 years, reuniting with the Bills as they move into a new stadium allows us to deliver a unique, elevated game ‑day experience — bringing together two premier teams committed to excellence, community, and fans.”
