Cumulus Media Names Jeff Boden Vice President/Market Manager, Cumulus Washington, D.C.

ATLANTA, GA, and WASHINGTON, D.C., June 17, 2021 – Cumulus Media (NASDAQ: CMLS) announces that it has appointed Jeff Boden as Vice President/Market Manager, Cumulus Washington, D.C. Cumulus Media owns and operates powerhouse radio stations 105.9 FM WMAL/WMAL-FM (News/Talk) and ESPN 630 AM The Sports Capitol/WSBN-AM (Sports) in the Nation’s Capital.

Boden joins Cumulus Media from Alpha Media in Fredericksburg, VA, where he was Vice President and Market Manager of the four-station group. Prior to that, he was President of Delmarva Broadcasting Company in Wilmington, DE. The Cumulus appointment is a homecoming for Boden, who was President/General Manager for Washington, D.C. stations WRQX, WMAL and WJZW from 2005-2012, when the stations were owned and operated by ABC Radio and later, Citadel Broadcasting. Boden, who has built a successful 30+-year radio career in the Washington, D.C. area, holds a B.S. degree in Communications from American University.

Dave Milner, EVP, Operations, Cumulus Media, said: “WMAL and WSBN are exceptional stations and demand an exceptional leader at the helm. Jeff Boden is the perfect choice to take these legendary D.C. stations into the future, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him on the Cumulus Media team. His deep experience and relationships in the market, along with his past experience as President/General Manager for WMAL and its previous sister stations, make him our ideal choice.”

Milner added: “Jeff is respected and appreciated by those in and out of the company, and steps into the big shoes left by former VP/Market Manager Ken Roberts, who sadly and suddenly passed away in April.”

Jeff Boden commented: ““I am truly honored to have this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to rejoin the exceptional team at Cumulus Washington, D.C. It’s wonderful to come back to serve the local community and our advertising partners. This is definitely a homecoming for me, and I look forward to working with so many people I have known for years, as well as with newer additions to the team.”

Boden is an Honorary Member of the Delaware National Guard, and has served as Board Chair for the Washington Area Broadcasters Association and Board Chair for the Greater DC/Maryland Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. He has also served on the board of the Sibley Memorial Hospital Foundation, and as a member of The Greater Washington Board of Trade, the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce, and the Greater Bethesda Chamber of Commerce.
